Tonight (May 3) in “Women’s Appreciation,” after Phyllis is traumatized by a flasher, Michael takes the women of The Office on a “special outing” (including a trip to Victoria’s Secret) as Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Andy (Ed Helms) work on catching the flasher – but Dwight doesn’t seem to realize that the posters (which may have been drawn by Pam) look just like him. Jim and Karen are apparently celebrating a six-month anniversary, while Michael breaks up with Jan on voicemail.
Next week (May 10) in “Beach Games,” Michael makes the office staff compete in his version of “Survivor” at Lake Scranton. But Pam isn’t invited to play and has to watch Karen and Jim have a good time from the sidelines. And according to Angela Kinsey, who plays Angela, “John Krasinski had to wear an outfit, and I will forever look at him differently because he looked so hilarious to me.”
The season finale of The Office is coming up quickly – on May 17 in the hour-long supersized episode “The Job,” Michael, Jim, and Karen battle it out in New York City for a job opening in Corporate. So who’s in chargeback at the Scranton branch? Why, Dwight K. Schrute, of course. That should be entertaining. Angela Kinsey says that in this episode “Jan and Michael have something big that happens to them; I’m gonna emphasize the word big.”
Will Karen Filipelli be sticking around next season? I’ve heard that Rashida Jones will not be in the cast next year, so maybe not. And about time, if you ask me – I like Karen, but I want Jim & Pam back. Let’s hope Karen moves to Corporate!
Rumor has it that NBC’s considering making The Office an hour-long regularly next season – I certainly hope that goes forward. What do you think? Would that work?
