Danielle Staub is surprisingly ready to take on yet another drama-filled season in spite of all the criticisms she endured on the first season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The show has just wrapped up its debut season last night with an explosive finale that laid everything out on the table.
“I have a lot of good to do,” said Staub, whose ex-husband allegedly terrorized her so thoroughly that she had to leave him and change her name.
“I did [the show] for a whole new experience of trying to start my life anew and I really wanted everyone to come on the journey with me,” Staub said. “I hope everyone is buckled up. It’s not over yet.”
Now, Staub wants to “speak out for the abused” and prove to women that they can make a great change in their lives, “to show them not to let people judge them, to run toward the light, and try to figure out who your friends are … Don’t ever apologize for what other people have done to you.”
Staub’s co-stars, on the other hand, aren’t that eager to come back on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. While Caroline Manzo says there are “a lot of facets” to the decision, Dina Manzo seems to be weary of all the drama even though the exposure has been invaluable to her children’s cancer charity, Project Ladybug.
“[The reality TV genre] really is so not me. I run from drama. The Housewives franchise is about drama. Right now I just want to take a long nap,” Manzo explained.
As for Teresa Giudice, she seems open to the idea of returning for season 2 since is thrilled with the exposure of her budding actress daughter, and even likened the experience to a professionally-made home video.
At this point, however, Bravo hasn’t signed the original cast for a second season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
