Last week, we brought you some of Lauri Waring’s confessions about how her real-life fairy tale love story came to be. The co-star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County talked about how she and George Peterson met on a blind date, and where she was in her personal life at that time.
This week, we deliver more of Waring’s own account of their romance, particularly her concerns surrounding her dream-come-true wedding, which was the culminating highlight of The Real Housewives of Orange County third season finale a few weeks back.
“The best moment of the day for me was when I started walking down the aisle and locking my eyes on George,” Waring told The Orange County Register. “It was such a personal and vulnerable moment that we shared. He was so calm and I could see the love in his eyes. I was trying to walk as slow as possible to soak it all up.”
One of the original cast members from season 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Waring reiterated how much of that love she always felt emanating from George to her.
“It is a package deal – the love I receive from him and the way he makes me feel like the most special person in the world,” Waring said when asked what about George she loved most. “I love his confidence and trust in me, his honesty, his sense of loyalty, his morals, humor, and kindness, and I love watching him with his children.”
Of course, even as she basked in the warmth of George’s affections, Waring still had to contend with wedding day jitters. As with any bride, she had her share of worries on her special day.
“Since we were having an outdoor wedding, my biggest concern was the weather,” Waring confessed. “I honestly do not know what we would have done if it had rained; we didn’t have a back-up plan. The weekend before our wedding, the temperature was 108 degrees. The week of our wedding, we had some afternoon showers with cool evenings. We didn’t know if we needed air conditioning or heaters. As it turned out, Mother Nature cooperated perfectly, with sunny skies and temperature in the 80s.”
