It’s Christmas time on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 9, “Cold as Ice,” and there’s a lot stirring after Lily’s sacrifice. While Stefan and Damon search for Julian, Caroline and Alaric are dealing with her unique pregnancy.
This leaves Bonnie to work a Toys for Tots drive without her friends. BuddyTV caught up with Kat Graham on set in Atlanta to find out what Bonnie’s up to for the holidays and the surprising person who shows up to help her at the toy drive.

“The Christmas episode is actually when you start to see Bonnie interacting more with the Heretics and you start to see those storylines develop,” teases Graham. This is a change from when Bonnie was killing Heretics or being with those who were killing the Heretics.
It’s not all eggnog and toy drives though. “There’s a huge twist at the end of the holiday episode that will have to kick Bonnie into gear. She’s going to have to make a really hard decision,” warns Graham.
After spending so much time alone in 1994, Bonnie’s able to relate to Nora, though that doesn’t mean they will be friends. “It might be a full knock down, drag out witch fight, but you’ll definitely see us working together,” says Graham.
