On the island, the cure was found, Silas was woken, but both came at Jeremy’s expense. Katherine used his blood to feed Silas and grab the cure for herself. On The Vampire Diaries, just because someone dies, it doesn’t mean they will remain that way. Jeremy has been killed and come back from the dead numerous times due to his protection ring. Will he be saved once again on “Stand By Me” or will his death finally stick?
Spoiler alert: This article contains The Vampire Diaries spoilers and clips. You’ve been warned.
Did Jeremy die? Or, will he be saved? What about Bonnie? Those are the questions that all Vampire Diaries fans want to know. And, the previews provide a shocking number of clues about what’s coming up next.
Official synopsis for “Stand By Me.”
When Stefan (Paul Wesley) arrives back in Mystic Falls with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), Caroline (Candice Accola) is immediately worried about Elena’s state of mind. Stefan reaches out to Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey DeVitto) and Matt (Zach Roerig) for help. Still on the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) relays somber news to Rebekah (Claire Holt), and is surprised at her reaction. Together, Damon and Rebekah learn an unexpected bit of recent history from Vaughn (guest star Charlie Bewley). Everyone is horrified when Bonnie (Kat Graham) reveals the rest of Shane’s (guest star David Alpay) plan. Finally, after Damon does his best to help her, Elena comes up with a plan of her own.
While many fans probably wish Shane was stuck in the cavern to die of his broken leg that wasn’t to be his fate. In the below clip, Shane’s leg is healed. He finds Bonnie and tells her that Silas is alive and healed his leg.
The professor is still convinced that all the people he sacrificed were worth it and that Silas will bring them all back to life, including Bonnie’s friend, Jeremy. From this clip, it definitely appears that Jeremy is dead. Or, at least Shane believes he is dead.
Can you imagine how Mystic Falls residents would freak out if their deceased relatives and neighbors showed up alive again?
Check out the “Stand By Me” Clip.
