The first chapter of The Vampire Diaries season 2 is over with Katherine being sealed in the tomb, but a new journey is just beginning. At the end of “Masquerade,” Elena was kidnapped, Tyler turned into a werewolf and Bonnie and Jeremy were on the road to romance.

In the next episode, “Rose,” we meet Elena’s captors: Rose (Supernatural‘s Lauren Cohan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies). They’re certainly old and very scary.
In this clip from the episode, Stefan and Damon hit the road to save the damsel in distress, because as much as Katherine was just trying to get under their skin, she was right when she pointed out that both the Salvatore brothers worship at Elena’s altar.
