After selecting our TV’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelors, we decided that a nailing down of our criteria for such an illustrious list was in order. After all, users were correct to point out, isn’t Nick Jonas, at 16, less of a “bachelor” and more of a “normal teenage dude”? Touche. So, for the ladies, we’ve been more careful.
Here’s how we chose our TV’s 50 Most Eligible Bachelorettes of 2009:
- She’s over 21 years old. That means sorry, Hayden, Miley, Demi, and K Stew fans!
- She’s got no ring (engaged or married) because… well, duh.
- Boyfriends are fair game, but no long-term, super serious significant others. That means sorry, Blake Lively, Evangeline Lilly, Leighton Meester, Rose Byrne, Rachel Bilson (and the list goes on…) fans! For all intents and purposes, they’re taken.
- She’s (most recently or prominently) a TV actress.
