The major networks might air nothing but reality shows during the summer, but USA is home to plenty of great scripted drama. The network released its summer schedule today, and it includes six returning shows over three action-packed nights.
Last year’s hit shows Suits (which earned a SAG Award nomination for star Patrick J. Adams) and Necessary Roughness (which earned a Golden Globe nomination for star Callie Thorne) both return in June.
June will also see the returns of medical drama Royal Pains for season 4 and spy series Burn Notice for season 6.
Then in July, Covert Affairs returns for season 3 while White Collar is back for season 4. White Collar should be in an especially good position since star Matt Bomer just had an incredibly popular guest role on Glee and this summer he’ll be one of the stars of the male stripper movie Magic Mike, coming out just two weeks before the show’s return.
Here’s a complete schedule of the USA premieres.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6
9pm: Royal Pains
10pm: Necessary Roughness
THURSDAY, JUNE 14
9pm: Burn Notice
10pm: Suits
TUESDAY, JULY 10
9pm: White Collar
10pm: Covert Affairs
