Another CW hottie is now off the market. After Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki disappointed legions of fan girls by each getting married last year, the hits keep coming with news from Life and Style that The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has secretly married girlfriend Torrey DeVitto in New York City.
At least that’s what Life and Style says. Rumors of a Wesley-DeVitto marriage have come up before and were proven untrue, but if it’s real this time, congratulations to both.
The two stars worked together on the 2008 horror film Killer Movie. Wesley currently stars as noble vampire Stefan Salvatore on the CW’s The Vampire Diaries while DeVitto can be seen on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars as Spencer’s older sister, Melissa.
However, to me, DeVitto will always be crazy Nanny Carrie from One Tree Hill, an extremely delusional nanny who kidnapped Jamie and later held Dan hostage. This continues the trend of CW hunks marrying actresses who used to play crazy characters on One Tree Hill.
Last year Supernatural star Jensen Ackles married Danneel Harris, who played Rachel, a former bad girl who later married Dan Scott as part of an evil scheme. If this continues, I fully expect Amanda Schull, who played Katie, a tennis pro who tried to kill Quinn, to marry Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford sometime next year, regardless of the fact that they are in no way connected to one another at this moment.
So congratulations to Wesley and DeVitto, and congratulations to any women who are cast as psychotic characters on One Tree Hill. Maybe one day you too will get a hot CW star of your very own as a husband.
