The Count and Vertigo are back, but there’s something different about both in the Arrow season 3 premiere, as you can see in the sneak peek the CW has released from “The Calm.”
Prison Break‘s Peter Stormare is playing Werner Zytle, who has taken over distributing the drug Vertigo since the Arrow killed Seth Gabel’s The Count last season, and the clip shows that he might actually be able to take down the Arrow with a little help from his enhanced drug. That leads to a cool action sequence featuring Stephen Amell versus…himself?

“You can call me Vertigo,” the new Count introduces himself after getting the jump on Oliver and injecting him with his drug. “Some things never die, you for example,” he explains. “It’s frustrating. Just means I have to try a little bit harder.” You see, the Count might be dead, but his drug isn’t – and this new enhanced one reveals “your greatest fear.” That’s when Oliver begins fighting…himself. Yes, it’s Oliver versus the Arrow, and Oliver’s winning. However, when Vertigo goes to strike again, help shows up for the Arrow.
