The Liars may have escaped Charles’ lair and even rescued another prisoner but that doesn’t mean A’s games are over. The girls’ struggle to deal with their traumatic experience with Charles might just be enough to push them over the edge. Meanwhile, the question we’ve been obsessing over for months is still looming over the Liars: Who is Charles DiLaurentis?

In the second episode of season 6 titled “Songs of Innocence,” the Liars attempt to move on from their ordeal in the doll house with not much success. Aria, for instance, tries to cut Ezra short when he tries to talk to her and suggest that she check in herself and write her thoughts in a journal.
“I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to own it. I don’t want to memorialize it.
I don’t want to think about it being in a diary somewhere in my room. I want a nice big wall between before and after,” Aria firmly tells Ezra in the clip.

In the second clip, Alison asks her father who Charles DiLaurentis is but she doesn’t get any answers. In fact, he claims that there is no Charles DiLauentis in the family.
