Jensen Ackles can do it all. Every week for eleven years on The CW’s Supernatural, he’s made us laugh, cry and swoon over his badass-ery. But Ackles also never shies away from a chance to prove to you that he’s more than just a talented actor and general badass — he’s also a rockstar. Ackles proved this once again at JaxCon, a Supernatural convention in Jacksonville, FL when he and costar Mark Sheppard (who plays Crowley) jumped on stage for this stunning performance of “Whipping Post” by The Allman Brothers Band. Check it out.
“Whipping Post” by The Allman Brothers Band
The fact that Jensen Ackles not only has killer pipes, but actually performs songs that Dean Winchester himself adores is just complete Supernatural perfection. Although, I don’t think Dean would be caught dead wearing a scarf, but Jensen rocks it with confidence. Added to that, how killer was the King of Hell, Mark Sheppard on the drums? We need to get Jared Padalecki on the guitar and maybe Misha Collins on the keyboard take this thing on tour. The Supernatural band name possibilities are endless.

This isn’t the first time Ackles has used a Supernatural event to showcase his musical talent. He’s performed “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd at VanCon (a Vancouver, Canada Supernatural convention), “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger, “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles and many others. Check out some more of his stunning performances below, where he’s joined by more more fellow Supernatural stars.

Is there anything this guy can’t do? If you’re taking requests, Jensen, we’ll take “Carry On My Wayward Son” by Kansas next, but you have to bring Jared up to sing it with you. Please and thank you.
Supernatural season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9pm on The CW.
