After some heavy episodes dealing with the British Men of Letters and Castiel’s past, Supernatural is taking a lighter tone with a new episode that finds Dean slowly losing his memory. In “Regarding Dean,” he is hit by a spell that erases his memories, leading to plenty of whimsy.
In this clip, Sam and Dean are at a diner waiting to visit the morgue for a case. Dean is constantly struggling to understand what Sam is talking about, whether it comes to Lucifer’s baby mama or the death they’re investigating. The one thing Dean does remember is his love of waffles. However, the spell causes Dean to make the most fatal of mistakes: not remembering a woman he was with.
Supernatural airs Thursdays at 8/7c on the CW.
