The Winchesters are back to hunting without their mom on Supernatural‘s fourth episode of season 12, “American Nightmare.” Sam and Dean will investigate a religious family that lives off the grid, which could bring angels back into the equation.
In this clip, the boys are dressed as priests and Dean gets off the phone with Cas for information. It seems their case isn’t connected to a rogue, but Dean does learn what Cas is up to, namely teaming up with Crowley to track down Lucifer.
They also learn who Lucifer’s new vessel is, and while Dean has nothing but contempt for glam rockers, Sam seems to have a soft spot in his heart for long purple hair and a spiked codpiece. There’s a good reason that Dean is the one who always gets to pick the music in the Impala.
Supernatural airs Thursdays at 9/8c on the CW.
