What could be worse than their friend hunting them? Well, maybe that they have to go into the Armory where something very, very dark has taken over to try to save her. But will they be able to help Bonnie without losing someone in the Vampire Diaries season 7 finale?
In “Gods & Monsters,” Damon, Enzo and Caroline realize that their options to help Bonnie are running out and they have to take drastic measures. With the only chance of saving their friend inside the Armory, Stefan breaks the news to Caroline that they may need help from an unlikely source: her and Alaric’s twin daughters. Meanwhile, Enzo keeps Bonnie preoccupied by bringing her to their cabin, but when his plan takes an unexpected turn, it’s up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends.

Watch the promo for “Gods & Monsters”:
What’s going to happen once they’re inside the Armory? Well, it can’t be anything good — and there’s also the matter of Damon asking, “Elena?” when he’s inside the vault.
Also, Caroline finds Stefan, but he tells her, “Whatever you’re about to say, say it when this is over.”
Check out what executive producer Julie Plec has to say about the TVD season finale:
“Whatever Bonnie let out of that vault, that’s stuck and sealed in there, it has done some pretty, pretty horrific damage,” Plec previews. “Not only do they have to find a way into the Armory without a witch, but they also have to survive whatever is inside there that might want a piece of them.”
When Enzo seeks out Virginia in hopes of finding out just what it is they’re dealing with so they can fight it, she informs him, “You can’t fight it. You can’t kill it.”
The Vampire Diaries season 7 airs Fridays at 8pm on the CW.

If it’s on TV — especially if it’s a procedural or superhero show — chances are Meredith watches it. She has a love for all things fiction, starting from a young age with ER and The X-Files on the small screen and the Nancy Drew books. Arrow kicked off the Arrowverse and her true passion for all things heroes. She’s enjoyed getting into the minds of serial killers since Criminal Minds, so it should be no surprise that her latest obsession is Prodigal Son.
