For the second week in a row, FOX’s summer dance competition, So You Think You Can Dance, dominated its timeslot, losing very few viewers after its premiere episode last week. The only contender was the first game of the Stanley Cup.
SYTYCD hit Salt Lake and New York last night, with 8.99 million viewers. It was up 7% from last season’s Wednesday timeslot, but down 8% from last week’s Thursday premiere episode. A slight dip in viewership after a premiere is to be expected. Relatively uncontested, SYTYCD will likely continue to dominate its timeslot throughout this season.

On NBC, game one of the Stanley Cup Final had 4.88 million, up slightly versus last year’s first game.
