Apart from playing Brenda Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210, Shannen Doherty became famous for her role as Prudence “Prue” Halliwell on the series Charmed. She played the eldest Hallowell sister who was born with the power of telekinesis. More often than not, she took charge of every situation and was over protective of her two sisters. Apart from acting on the series, she also served as the director in three episodes of the show entitled “Be Careful What You Witch For,” “The Good, the Bad, and the Cursed,” and All Hell Breaks Loose.” After three years of playing witch, she left the show as her character got killed off during the show’s third season finale. Her death was the consequence of a string of incidents that involved time turning back, magic being exposed and the sisters being deceived by the Source of All Evil.
After Charmed, Doherty posed for a nine-page pictorial in the December 2003 issue of Playboy magazine. She appeared on numerous television series like The Rendering, Hell on Heels: The Battle of Mary Kay, Nightlight, North Shore, and Bo In The USA, and guest starred on The Tyra Banks Show and Last Call with Carson Daly. She also served as a host on SciFi channel’s Scare Tactics and Oxygen network’s Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty, and a co-host on two episodes of The View. Most recently, she guest starred on former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Tori Spelling’s reality show, Tori and Dean: The Love Inn.
Doherty has been cast for a future project called Slapped. Also Starring Amanda Peet, the film will be released by Destination Films.
