Producer and Emmy-Award nominee, Mark Reisman, has gotten fans hooked on this one. If you love beautiful storytelling with a spice of comic relief, then you’ve got to love “Sydney to the Max.”
Who are the cast members on “Sydney to the Max,” and is the show still running or canceled?
This article discusses all of that and more.
Is “Sydney to the Max” Canceled?
“Sydney to the Max” premiered for its first season on January 25, 2019, and so far, the show has aired three seasons — 63 episodes in all. After a great second season and an even better third season, fans are wondering if there will be any new episodes. The finale of the third season, titled “Any Given Sunday Brunch,” was aired on November 26, 2021, and it appears like that’s where it all ends — the show may have been canceled and might not return for a fourth season.
Why Was “Sydney to the Max” Canceled?
On January 1, 2022, in what seemed like a goodbye message, star actress Ruth Righi took to her Instagram to thank other cast members and fans for her experience over the three seasons aired.
The post immediately drew a lot of emotional comments from fellow cast members and fans.
“What a wild ride! Happy I gained a sista for life,” said @christianjsimon, who played ‘Leo’ on the series. @ianreedkesler also commented, “My TV daughter forever… the best.”
Fans and lovers of the show consider the post an indirect announcement that the show has been canceled. If that’s true, the most probable reason for this could be so Ruth could focus on her role in the ongoing Disney Junior show, “Eureka,” where she voices the title character.
About the “Sydney to the Max” Cast
A television show is often as good as the cast on it. One of the highlights of the series, “Sydney to the Max,” is the cast who played the key roles.
Here’s a quick highlight of the actors who played major roles in the show:
Ruth Righi:
Born September 7, 2005, Ruth Mouma Righi stars as Sydney Reynolds or ‘Syd’ in “Sydney to the Max.” The American actress and singer began dancing and acting as early as age three. Before appearing on the show, she performed in a few plays, including “Really Rossei” and “School of Rock.” Though still young, Ruth has garnered some popularity and is considered one of the most gifted teen artists in the American TV industry. Fans and critics have widely applauded her performance on the family-comedy show. The teen actress presently combines acting with schooling and is quite active on social media — Instagram especially.
Ian Reed Kesler:
Ian Reed Kesler is definitely no new face in the American television industry. The actor is famed for his recurring role as Sensei Ty on “Kickin’ It,” a Disney comedy television series.
