The new season of Dancing with the Stars is almost here and while the celebrities may be new, finding out which professional dancers will be competing can be just as important. In recent seasons the trend has been to bring back some old favorites, and that will hold true for season 24 as well.
According to PureDWTS, Kym Johnson will be coming back to the ballroom as a pro this season. The site also reports that Lindsay Arnold and Emma Slater are also expected to return. In addition, ABC has already confirmed new mom Peta Murgatroyd and People rounds out the crop of female pros with Witney Carson and Sharna Burgess.

Kym Johnson is a two-time Mirror Ball champion who was been largely MIA from recent years. In the past seven seasons she only competed as a pro once, in season 20 with partner Robert Herjavec (who is now her husband).
Peta will return after being absent last season due to her pregnancy, but the other four female pros all competed on season 23 as well. Missing out on season 24 are pros like Cheryl Burke, Allison Holker and Jenna Johnson.
This group of female pros is very formidable. Three of them are past winners (Kym, Peta and Witney) while the other three have all reached the finals at least once. Most notably, Lindsay has reached the Top 4 for the past three seasons in a row while Sharna has reached the Top 5 for four seasons in a row, something no other female pro has ever accomplished.
Find out which male stars these pros will be partnered with when the full cast of Dancing with the Stars season 24 is revealed Wednesday, March 1 on Good Morning America. The competition begins Monday, March 20 at 8/7c on ABC.
