Fans are in for another surprise when The Bachelorette returns for its 12th season. As reported previously, the season 12 opener will feature a trio of former Bachelorettes who will be giving JoJo Fletcher advice on how to handle tension and drama as she attempts to find her future husband. But according to ABC’s press release, there’s another person who will unexpectedly show up.

“But it wouldn’t be a first rose ceremony without a surprise,” says the press release. “An unexpected visitor from the past arrives and pulls the shocked Bachelorette aside, as the other men wonder if they have new competition for JoJo’s heart.”
Could it be former Bachelor star Ben Higgins? Or perhaps ex-boyfriend Chad (who left flowers and a letter for Fletcher at her Dallas home in an attempt to win her back during her hometown date with Higgins on The Bachelor season 20)?
It could be anyone but Reality Steve is claiming that the mystery person is none other than Jake Pavelka! The star of The Bachelor season 14, who was previously engaged to Vienna Girardi, has apparently known Fletcher and her family for years and will be appearing in the season 12 premiere. But instead of joining the competition to fight for the Bachelorette, he’ll be giving her advice.
