It’s no secret that in season 5, the apocalypse is coming to Supernatural, Lucifer is walking on Earth, and as creator Eric Kripke confirmed at Comic-Con, God will be a character on the show.
But who (or what) should play God? We want your ideas as to who should play the almighty leader of Heaven on Supernatural this season, so please submit any and all ideas or hopes you have in the comments below.
The great thing is that Kripke and his Supernatural team have been tight-lipped about any God details. Is God a man or a woman? Young or old? White or black or Hispanic or Chinese? Will God be a new character like Mark Pellegrino playing Lucifer, or will God simply use an existing character as a vessel (Uncle Bobby, perhaps)? Maybe God could be a cat or an inanimate object (the Godpala, anyone?). We want to know what you want to see.
God has been portrayed almost every conceivable way in film and television, from George Burns and Morgan Freeman to Alanis Morissette and even a dog on Saving Grace.
So who should play God? We’ll post the best suggestions early next week before the season 5 premiere on Thursday, September 10 at 9pm on the CW.
