NCIS is adding a new face for its 14th season. CBS has announced that Wilmer Valderrama, who recently guest starred on Grey’s Anatomy, will be joining the cast as a series regular.
Showrunner Gary Glasberg Talks NCIS Without Tony DiNozzo>>>
According to the character’s description, Valderrama is playing “a once grounded NCIS field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. Many agents don’t know he’s still on the job or that he’s even alive. Now, he’s back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, charismatic loose cannon.”
“Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic NCIS role,” executive producer Gary Glasberg has said in a statement. “Fans are going to see him like they’ve never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We’re thrilled he’s coming aboard.”
This news comes fresh off TV’s #1 drama saying goodbye to Michael Weatherly, who played Very Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo since the beginning. The series introduced two potential new characters in Duane Henry’s Clayton Reeves and Sarah Clarke’s Tess Monroe at the end of season 13.
NCIS season 14 will air Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS this fall.

If it’s on TV — especially if it’s a procedural or superhero show — chances are Meredith watches it. She has a love for all things fiction, starting from a young age with ER and The X-Files on the small screen and the Nancy Drew books. Arrow kicked off the Arrowverse and her true passion for all things heroes. She’s enjoyed getting into the minds of serial killers since Criminal Minds, so it should be no surprise that her latest obsession is Prodigal Son.
