Country singer Wynonna will make special appearances on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The episode, which is scheduled to air November 4, features the reconstruction of a 20-acre property owned by a Wyoming couple that has devoted their life to providing safe residence for rescued animals.
Aside from Wynonna, the said Extreme Makeover: Home Edition installment will also feature soccer icon David Beckham, who gives the Miller’s 10-year old son a special gift of his own.
When animal lovers Dan and Dawn Miller of Cheyenne, Wyoming purchased their home and land, they had a vision of creating a haven for rescued creatures. They have made it their life’s mission to save and re-home unwanted and abused animals, the majority of which were on the verge of being put to sleep in shelters. Unfortunately, their dream sanctuary had turned into a giant toxic, death chamber for them, their family and their furry friends.
The Millers had begun suffering respiratory problems and soon found out that their property was full of Radon. Radon is a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas that has been found to cause lung cancer. Despite their efforts to eliminate the harmful toxin, the Millers were told that their only recourse was to rebuild their home.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition stepped in to undertake what the family could not afford. Next month, the episode will air, showing Wynonna visiting the construction site of the Miller’s new residence. The country superstar will be seen performing for the home-building team of workers and volunteers before welcoming the Miller family during the big reveal.
Meanwhile, during the Miller’s vacation in Washington, D.C., as their new house and animal sanctuary were being reconstructed, they got the chance to take in the Los Angeles Galaxy match in the Big Apple. Even better, they had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of meeting one of their favorite players, David Beckham. Beckham completed the momentous encounter by gifting Dakota Miller with a scholarship to his Los Angeles-based soccer academy.
